As August draws to a close the campaign begins moving forward just a bit faster. Just today I hear there may be another candidate in this race for the 3rd district. If this is true then there will be at least 3 candidates besides the incumbent. This will make the campaign even more dynamic and will provide voters an even greater field to choose from. I feel that at no time should the field of contestants be limited to just one. As this limited field would inherently stifle good discussion on the issues which matter most. I look forward to the challenge and extend a hand of camaraderie to all my opponents. While I am sure there may well be moments which are heated and passionate I am sure these times will serve the public well.
So as we move forward into September I will be out there walking and talking with as many of you as I can.

This past weekend was full of events from Gretna to Bellevue. I was able to take in two great firework shows, eat BBQ for most meals, participate in the Gretna Parade, and more importantly meet many wonderful people in district 3. I look forward to meeting and speaking with as many of you as I can as the the campaign rolls on to the General Election November 4th.

My Platform
As your representative in the State Legislature I will bring my proven work ethic, and common sense to Lincoln. I am willing to listen, and to work to understand the issues at hand.
I believe the strength of our state is in its people. I believe that good government should guarantee to its individuals equality before the law
I believe that government should promote the health, welfare, and safety of the individual and that government’s proper function is to do only those things which individuals cannot do for themselves.
My parents, teachers, and coaches instilled the desire to work hard and take pride in a job well done. 20 years service in the United States Air Force further solidified the importance of dedication and devotion to something larger than myself.
I am a conservative and believe in the importance of individual rights and of limited government.
With these principles, I believe I am the candidate for people who desire a positive and responsive government at the state level.

Bellevue Parade
The Parade was a Great success.
I would like to take a moment to thank a few supporters for all their hard worked and dedication for this past year of parades.
A great debt of gratitude goes out to the Sarpy County Republican Party for their support and faith in me to get the job done. In particular to Ken & Beth, John for ensuring we were registered, and to Mary Sue for her financial support. I also want to thank Jan & Patty for their being there these past couple of years and lending me a hand at EVERY parade, not to mention using their truck to pull the float.
I would also like to thank my family who supported me and the parades through the year. Without their being there and helping, a LOT of candy would still be in the bucket and not with children throughout the county. Of course all this would not really be possible without my wife's help. She is always there to support and to do the work, thank you J.
A big thanks also goes out to all of you who participated in the parades by either walking or riding. Thank you Ken & Beth, Jim, Patty, Jim & Kim & the girls, Chris & brothers, Linda, Michelle & Andrew, Ashley, Ben, Matt, Taylor, Jack & Betty, Mary & David, Carrie, Pepper & Honey Bee (the dogs).
Finally I would like to say Thank You to all of you who were at the parades, through the wind & rain, and searing summer sun.
I look forward to seeing you all next year.
